Alien Hunter (2003)

In 1947, in New Mexico, radio operators received signals following a regular pattern. While investigating the incident, he disappeared. On this day, the same signal is transmitted from bases in the Falkland Islands to the United States and satellites are capturing images of unknown objects in Antarctica. Cryptologist Julien Rome (James Spader) is invited to investigate the mysteries at the South Pole and he flies to the research base. While a team tries to open a strange shell possibly from outer space, Julien deciphers the message, which proves to be a distress signal ordering not to open the case. —Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
